Too right... I've had pings ranging from 300 down to 12... No idea how you choose low ping servers to join.

Yep same here. No news from Steam either on a fix......yet. *crosses fingers*

Search Steam's L4D forum. I'v seen a post there explaining how to limit Matchmaker's search to the servers with ping not higher than... Probably takes a bit longer but U can be sure of resonable ping.

You can use the serverbrowser. Just type openserverbrowser in console. However, it doesn't work for all server, some will only let you join through lobby. Maybe you'll have to look for a server in the custom tab.

Do you have the link at hand, Ami? I've searched for it and I've found only threads with lots of complaints but no solution.


BTW will join you soon. I've ordered a copy at amazon.uk, because the uncut version is not yet available in the shops here. Only the lame low violence german version.
