ok well its not the hd cos i ave shutdown one in the bios and its still doin the shutdown so im thinkin now of replacing the heatsink and fan with a water cooled system we shall see how that goes if it doesnt sort it with that then the whole pc is goin to get smashed into so many small pieces

ok i replaced the psu same old bones all tho it was making the most awful noise before i replaced it.

Then i shelled out and bought a new fan and heat sink and now the pc has been on since i set them up so it looks like the accursed thing is now sorted at last thanks for all the advice.

It sounded like ya proccesser was overheating with what ya told me, so im glad its sorted bishop.

Only coz (yes me been a twat) Ages ago when i got my new amd 2800+ and motherboard and put it all together it wouldnt run at 2800, i had to underclock it to 2400 to get it to run. Now, this was in the past, a year or so ago and i didnt know much about coumputers, and i have learnt a lot since then, and a lot of that has come from you guys. But what i didnt do was put some of that thermal compound on the proccesser, so it was just overheating and shutting itself down, im lucky i didnt fry the fucker, but that was my problem, and ive learnt from it, lol. So what ya was explaining to me it sounded exactly the same, cpu overheating.
