Rite, i was on lochs 2 today, jumped into the water and cud only see a couple of feet, the water was kindy murky, like the thames.

On my old GFX card, i could see rite through to the other side, ive tried the water details on all the settings but to no avil, and deleted frogs old beta script thingy, as i was told it mite be that, still no luck. Any ideas ppl?

More then likely you new card is DX9 capable, so it runs the DX9 materials and shaders, and they are a lot more complex.

Nothing you can do mate, apart from downgrade the card!

Why not post a screenie or two Pug so we can tell you if what you're seeing is wrong/ odd or not...

That's the same as I see Pug - I've always thought it's supposed to look like that TBH.

/me wonders what the water used to look like on Pug's old GFX card ...

it is suposed to be like that.

you can probably get it back that way if you use the stuff in my fps tweak as it removes some complex effects like that

well when i had a shit GFX card ati 9200se i had crystal clear water, now ive got an x800xt pe ive got murky water.

So a shit GFX card makes game look better, well i never. walos

ok so heres the prob....

ive got clear water when im in it...

but it seems that the top layer of the water is foggy :/

ive treid every command i can think off to sort this out...

i know its possible to fix cas ive had it all completely clear before :/

Ive tried and failed, still foggy water, thats how ive got used to it, so you and me in the water together you wud have a major advantage as i wouldnt be able to see you, but you cud see me.
