Which of these cars should I get?

I would just like a neutrals (and pug) opinion on which of these cars you like the best, just for the look or the what you think of them ect. I would shortly be getting a new car when I have 2 years NCB in november. I would quite like to find a relitivly cheap (I am only on a student placement) but luxury and powerfull car. It depends a lot on what I can insure too (all of these cars cost less to insure than a little Clio Sport 182)

The only things I want are, air con, leather and legroom for my 6'4" frame.

The car I have been looking at most is a BMW 328i sport. A mates got one, I love the look of them, the sound, the power and inside.

Pros - Speed, sound, inside, look, low cost due to new 3
Cons - Potential high running costs, potential engine woes

These are the others I have been looking at.

Newer shape BMW 323 ci
Pros - Newer car, same as above but bit less speed, still a 2.5 straight 6, 900 insurance, Coupe
Cons - Not as good looking as above

Newer shape BMW 328 SE
Pros - Like the above and just as fast as the sport one. Cheaper as not coupe
Cons - 4 Doors, less sporty

Audi A3 1.8T sport Quattro
Pros - Nice car, reliable, less probs with smaller engine but still powerfull
Cons - Looking a bit dated, low depriciation (for buying)

Volvo C70 2.3 T5 Sport
Pros - Mega power and modern coupe for low cost
Cons - Its a volvo!

Im not BMW fan, only good thing i like about em is been RWD. I do like the 6 seris tho. A 328 at ur age on insurance will probably cost you a bit, ya mite aswell get an M3.

As for the smaller 323 i wouldnt bother, a friend had one and had a few probs with his, the main thing was the rear diff packed up, 600+ for a rebuild.

Now the audi 1.8T, i like them, fact that there a turbo mite have something to do with it, and not sure wot insurance group they are, but shud be better than the big bm. Watch out with ones with high miles, say 70k+, as turbos dont last forever, and there not cheap to replace.

And for a volvo, are you a copper in disguse
The T5 is a beast, well all volvos are tanks, and they handle like em aswell. im not to keen on em.

End of the day, if your after a powerfull luxury car it would have to be the 328i S, but like i said, and i dont know what price your looking at, but the M3 or M5 would be on my cards. And before november dont go losing ya NCB either.

Not too keen on BMWs myself. Think BMW : think CHAV IMO.

The Audi's not a bad motor (and you knicked the images from my company's website ) but the resale value is going to hurt a lot more than any of the BMW's will.

The Volvo's an old man's car.
No seriously - I know somoene who had one and it really is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Faster than you'd give it credit for just by looking at it and quite nice inside.

Verdict? : VOLVO

...but compared to you I am an old man.

Love the look, very affordable, but they are a bit to underpowered for me, 2.0L 0-60 in 9.2, the 3.0L (IS300) were made too late and will be too expensive (plus they are auto only).
Im a car enthusiast so I want something with a bit of go, 0-60 in 8.5 or less I think. (although I will look at the Lexus, never realised they were soo cheap).

Another car I looked at was the Alfa 156 2.5 V6, lovely, and cheap. But bad reliability and 23MPG (quoted so it will be less).

I know the lexus is a bit underpowered, but i was looking at the looks and the luxury side on that.

The thing with an alfa, italian cars, the parts are very expensive and thats not good with the reliabilty bit aswell.

Was looking around on ebay to see what sort of cars are out there, come across this, wish i had a spare 40k
