For people who live in London..

I'm going to London with my class in about 3 weeks for 3 days("studytrip"), and the teacher said if we wanted to visit anything that is not on the 'list of things we are going to visit', then we can tell him and he will drive us there in breaktimes (which are about 3-4 hours).. Such as nice places to shop, eat, doesn't matter. But as i don't know anything in London maybe some of you who live there know some nice places?
( please not too expensive if u have to pay entrance )

we're already visiting stuff like museems, oxford street, theatre (musical: We Will Rock You),blablabla

thanks!

Imperial war museam, great place, but probably not ur sort of thing. Oxford streets great, loadsa shopping for ya so it'll be ideal.

Basicaly theres london is a big place and there is loadsa places to see, like shadow said, would help if we knew what ya liked.

What shadow said "i can name a few places to eat or go to, but i dont want to scare ya"?

If he asks ya round his house i beg you not to go, his dodgy.

well, my friend would like to go to shops where they sell stuff like bandshirts, cheap cd's (her style is -unfortunatly- anything that sounds like metallica, my taste is stuff like tool, deftones,... i hate metallica but that hasn't got anything to do with this really), and her clothes look like metallica, dunno how to describe what I'm looking for, but if u know Within Temptation, i can tell u i'm looking for her dresses , not to buy really, would be very expensive, but i like to just look at them.
u know some nice place to eat (just a snackbar thing is ok),maybe where students go and eat? but where it's not too expensive? dont really care what it is aslong its not posh or some pikey house!!
Is there anything nice to do in Greenwich? That's where our hotel will be. The age of people going is between 16 and 18 so could be nice if there was some place (london/greenwich) where there were more "young" people hanging around. (i was going to say "young as in -30 but then i would insult Hubby i think...and maybe other people)

and Pug i dont know if we will feel like wanting to visit a museem after we visited museems all day but thanks anyway

i will think some more about what i would like to do.

The london eye is that big wheel thingy what you go on, cant belive you.ve never heard of it, your'll see it when you get there. Cutty sark is an old wooden boat, mite not be your sorta thing, but i found it intresting, piece of english history.

As for going out at nite, make sure your in a group and not on your own. As with all countries, dont walk around with ur backpacks looking like tourists, (even know you are) you mite get robbed.

To be honest i dont know why you is bothering, its a shit hole if ya ask me, you shud visit a wonderfull place called Gravesend, yeah rite.

Anyway, make sure you have fun, and soho's a cool place, lots of hookers, and camden palace, get club, been raving there in the past, dont know if its still open.

your going to Greenwich, cool.. i just moved out of Greenwich now im a couple of km away.
heres a little run down..

Greenwich..
Greenwich has tons of history, its where time starts and stuff happens.. its got major maritime history, so your fucked if you dont like boats.

PLACES TO GO
Cutty Sark
The cutty sark is an old tea clipper now in dry dock.
National Maritime Museum
History of boats -
Royal Observatory
Stars and the start of time.
Greenwich Market
An arts an craft market on sat and sunday, gets packed and overpriced..

there are loadsa other places to go, like the Queens house and the Fan museum.. and also Greenwich Park

Eat n Drink.
Greenwich is full of pubs, i once done a website on local pubs and places in greenwich, i counted over 30 pubs, heres a few..

Trafalgar Tavern
Old pub on the river.
Admiral Hardy
Pub in the Market, more of a student pub.
The Union
Nice little pub has its own micro brewery.

Goddards
Pie n Mash
.............. end of greenwich

Camden Town..
Camden is a great place, its in North London and is full of pubs clubs and shopping. It is a bit of a shithole and full of drug dealers, but thats only because of the amount of tourists it attracts, but once you overlook that you can get some decent gems.
The Loch has a load of markets worth looking at where you can get some decent clothes. including some from friends of mine Miss Bunny (plug )..
