OK - I've been window shopping...

If it were me I'd use my existing monitor and drives and go for something like:-

MSI K8N SLI Platinum Motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 3500+ & TWO Nvidia 6800GTs = £721

1GB Corsair XMS3200Pro 400Mhz RAM 1GB = £101.33

Leaving me £177 for a case, keyboard, mouse and stuff although I could use the ones I already have and buy myself another Gb of RAM and a couple of bottles of Chateux Neuf Du Pape and enjoy a monster of a PC and a monster of a hangover!

shame the lack of money for cases and stuff... hmmm might have to use some of my own reserves for the keyboard, mouse and dun dun dun monitor...

Don't supose anybody else could give thier idea of a gaming machine (in a grand price range) and post it like Extreme did... wanna make sure I get the best I can lol...

Well with my suggestion you can stick to 1Gb of RAM for the time being - you can always get another stick and a couple of bottles of fine wine at a later date.

That way you'll have £177 for your gaming keyboard (£40-ish), gaming mouse, (£55-ish) stylish case (£50-ish) and power supply (£32-ish) and use your "own reserves" for the monitor.

That's just what I'd do - I'd be interested to see other people's ideas too.

Came close to buying 3500+ venice and mb today, changed me mind and was gunna buy 2 gig of ram, then changed me mind again and brought a 17 inch flat panel moniter instead, another upgrade.

Indeed... bah so many choices... I'm expecting myself to fork our £200+ for a monitor out of my pocket mulah. Extreme "Gaming Monster Machine" seems nice for the price, and the rig thats on Wish Share.com is also cool but not sure which one would be better Rather have better gaming performance and for me to pay few hundred squid for a new monitor than go lacking on some other powerful stuff. And yeah I agree with you Extreme I prob will get a extra 1Gig of ram..

The 2nd PC is better spec.
