hi guys just wandering what means of security u guys have on your pc i,ve got
microsoft pack 2 firewall
sygate firewall
adaware se,spyware doctor,avg anti virus,microsoft anti spyware and a malware program called a2 squared.
this seems like alot but they all pick up different virus,s and over the past year i,ve experienced plenty (damn porn sites )all these i,ve got 4 nothing u can get most off them on download programs like bearshare with cracks to get the full pro versions.word of warning tried to get black ice with a crack with in ten minutes i was getting bombarded with alsorts of nasties but when i unistalled it stopped lets have a look what u guys use

The best thing you can do to stop shit like that is use firefox.

IE is full of holes, and activeX is the company's worst ever idea if you ask me. . .

dont use windows sp2 firewall..... shit as hell....

i personly use a prgm called:

f-secure

anti virus
firewall

they are always updating it, ive never had a problem with it, xcept i cant use the firewall as it crashes my system (god knows why)

other fire walls u cud use is kerio (personly recomennded by teh biggest brains km have ie frog)

and as for spyware i use a prgm called: spysweeper

I've performed a hex on mine - seems to work ok

I installed zone alarm Firewall on my computer, but it just warned me of everything and was blocking things that didnt need to be, so I uninstalled it.

Whats a good non intrusive free firewall.

Software firewalls are poo (unless you have linux) - bite the bullet and get an old NAT router off ebay. You can pick up a linksys 4 port switch/NAT for about twenty quid.

Firewall = I use ZoneAlarm and although it's a bit quirky sometimes it suits my budget (£0)

I use AVG antivirus - again a free app and it's excellent

I use the new Microsoft Antispyware app (made by Giant and licenced my MS) along with AdAware.

Using the above I have never been infected with any virii or spware

i use sophos anti virus, bart said thats what he has and his work use it i dont mind as i didnt have to pay for it, my mum got it free from work.

i use zonealarm firewall, i think its pretty good, bit annoying when it blocks things.

as for spyware i have spy bot and adaware but have never used it.

i use AVG, ad-aware for spyware and zonealarm

i got a Netgear wireless router with firewall - Zone Alarm - Microsods AntiSpyware Beta - Avg - and when i go out Shadow sits at my PC growling

If you are worried about viruses but can't be arsed to pay out any money but like to check your pc.
