I love the Empires unban requests - they all seem to think they have a RIGHT to play on OUR server - yet none of them have ever even hinted at donating to the upkeep and running of it ...

You need people to play on the server. If you didn't, you would have made it a private server. If the server was only played on by KM members, the server would have all of two people on it, and empires doesn't work so well with two people.

And no, I'm not going to donate to keep the server running, at least not yet. I haven't been playing empires very long, so why should I donate to keep a server running? Especially one where an admin will kick somebody without seeing what they supposedly did, and not bothering to verify what happened by asking other players if they saw the same thing. Perhaps if I had spent a few months playing on the server then I would feel obliged to donate.
