Let me introduce myself, I am KM_ teh Trunk Monkey, one of the Empires mod micspammers. I enjoy anime, Dungeons and Dragons, and beating the shit out of pimps and hos in Grand Thef Auto.

I am posting under this name because the KM_ one I registered under was either bugged or you [KM] people just didnt like that name. Hey, its not like I stole any naming syntax from you guys...I have been using KM (and KM_ ) for the past 8 years.



The Husband, let me address the 2 main points of your last post first off.

1) How can I annoy people on your servers if I cannot join your server because of my being ban? If I annoy people who play on your servers, but they and I are on another server at the time, you really can't do anything about it; because at that moment, I am not breaking your server's rules because I am not on your server.

Kind of baffles the mind....


2) No matter how many contacts you have that works at Valve, so you say, you cannot get my steam_id killed or my steam account banned. There is no clause in any terms of service Valve has for Steam/HL/HL2/etc... that states playing music over voicechat is against the rules. If that was the case, the myg0t clan and countless others would be gone. Yet they still play music in Counter-Strike games and countless other mods.

I have gotten 3 moderators on the SteamPowered.com forums to verify the 2nd point, and another friend who has informed me that people have been warned by Valve for saying such threats. Now I cannot vouch on the Valve contacting people part, but definately cannot get me banned from Steam by merely micspamming.

Get your facts straight before throwing out empty threats.



Now don't you guys worry, you aren't the only ones with a gaming server, so you dont have to worry about me begging for an unban. I just thought with all the incorrect facts flying left and right in this thread, I should be the gentlemen-type and fix them.

Also Zoom, me and my friends love your original post: "just joins to spam", "being a false KM member", "hiding in the bushes". You are obviously ignoring the big picture and only seeing what you want to see.

Me and my friends, who play epic jeep squad, actually go on major offense to kill their commander. And we usually have a good 85% success rate. We usually only play the music while we are rushing the base. But when they arent online, whatever goes I guess.

But for you, I will be sure to not take the hide skill when I play RickRoll again.

Ban is to prevent players from messing things up by not alowing them to join .Ban=no you = no more your micspam= players happy -if you cant understand...
Also, i dont get that second thing, you were micspamming on the KM server , and that surely was that one , i dont play any other( maybe league server sometimes when there is a match but thats not the case).

Hubby, or any other admin, should this thread not be locked? The offender isn't even attempting to explain his actions that he was banned for, is in fact giving the reasons he was banned rather than requesting an unban, which makes this thread rather useless in my humble opinion, being as its simply turning into another flame war when the outcome of said ban has clearly been decided and not appealed against?

I thought I explained my reasons...for epic lulz and also for jeep squad theme songs...

Instead of me explaining why I am banned/request an unban, why dont you guys tell me why I am having to use a name other than my own, my km_ name hasnt been aproved yet, but was registered well over 30 hrs ago, km__ is the same, yet this one gets accepted within an hour?

Valve, if they even give a shit when you complain, will just claim that you are ruining the enjoyment of their game dissemination platform for other users, and as such, they are merely looking after their customer base as a whole.

If you are STEAM_0:1:1930605 - I made this ban after receiving complaints direct from players on the server while you were spamming - this is the only reason for your ban.

As the reason for this thread, im guessing it was made by one of the players on the server at the time of you spamming when they had finished their gaming session - not realising that you had been banned then and there.

Regarding your comments about you not wanting to request an unban, this thread is now closed.

I am one of the friends KM has stated being in Epic Jeep squad with. First off, let me state that I don't wish this topic to become an unban/flamefest as Ive seen some members of both parties do so far. Although I think some members from Your party have said some hilarious things (All in good fun Zoom)
This went above the actual micspam I'm afraid and the whole concept of it now thats bugging TrunkMonkey is the fact that he has been Threatened. He was a little hostile in the way of bringing this case about. (I'm still loling about the hiding in the bushes mic spamming comment...) and I know Trunkmonkey can be harsh with his comebacks and retorts but he has a valid point.

Forgive me if I am slightly off but there are some references to him being yelled at to turn the music off. This has been a bit one sided and wish to state that there have been times where he has turned it off, or when there are ACTUALLY PEOPLE ASKING him to keep playing. KM is actually quite reasonable with his music playing and within 30 seconds of being asked to stop by enough people he stops.
I saw the arguement that he only does it when a moderator is not on. This is not true because he does it even if a moderator is on especially in the training server with JPL and Daisy. Daisy will ask him to turn it down a little and he will switch to a different song (He cant control the volume with HLDJ unless he gets out of the game and remixs the music.) Daisy IS a moderator on the training server.
There has been a comment by zoom that questions the "mic-spammer's" use to the team and I do want to clerify this. This "Mic-SpammeR" has our assortmant of battle-cries that we enjoy listening to as we flip the enemies com. We love flipping commanders and rather ruining the game for you guys we'd rather win it for our team and flip the enemies commander. The music simply gets us pumped and gets us in rhythm. I believe Jeep Squad has far surpassed any early or late game rushes and has saved several commander's asses as We represent both a fast action attack force and a fast action deffence force. We know how to play so dont question whether we help or not.
Finnally (but not to throw us too far off topic) I wish to mention my favorite line in this whole ordeal. "Hiding in the bushes Mic Spamming." Trunkmonkey has a tendancy to go scout and snipe when he is not with other memebers of Jeep squad. He wants his own battlecry then so he'll play music. As for hiding in the bushes... Lets be real if your tring to kill someone and risk missing because of a shitty rifle are you really wanting to stand out in the open visable to the naked eye? If you said Yes please exit stage right...
Now that we have addressed the core issue of what the origional post was on lets move in on the replys. I see some negative replies from both parties and A THREAT to have someone banned from not just your server or empires itself but from steam entirely. I will say in all honesty yesterday I wasn't certain about this so I had him do some research but now based on the replies he recived am certain you don't have the right to do that. You can bluff all you want and maybe valve might get angry if they catch wind of it, but as far as it goes your threat is empty.

I see many mentions recommend that Trunkmonkey stop but that Valve will take no action against him. I believe that threatening other users over the Internet is childish and immature.

But I am not one to call people openly a liar, I will provide my steam I.D. for you to send to valve and have banned just to see if it is True. If this is a true claim then I will accept defeat and formaly close my side of the argument. We can continue this in private if you wish (I know how situations like this are tend to be best kept under the rug) or we can continue in this thread. If you decide to retort and close the thread right after then I will be forced to assume that you forfeit your side of the arguement, and are lieing.

Have me Steam banned for "Mic Spamming" since you claim your have contacts that can do so.

Several years ago, I assisted in tracking down and the sucessful arrest and prosecution of an Ebay scammer who was selling illegally aquired steam accounts. And as such, I had quite a lot of conversations with DougV, head of support at Valve.

At my request, and with supporting evidence, I have personally requested and had banned 4 steam_ID's and a futher 3 at a single IP address.

Valve have everyright to ban a steam_ID purely on the aspect of you not respecting other players online. They like to promote a friendly community - annoying players just cause you can does not come across as friendly!
