lol iv just been talking to some one and lay wos saying km is called km no reg server so its not only the ppl ho are on all the time this is been going on for long time now some think must be up with the server or we would not get all the moaning about it.

We host our own servers on a dedicated box.

When mani-admin-plugin gets turned off reg should improve - it may be the sole issue here, its hard to say.

Currently we need mani-admin-plugin for TK protection, so unless you guys want to run with FF turned off... then it has to stay for now.

TK protection is #1 on my list of things to do with KMSP atm to try and finally get mani killed off... but now im at work every day its taking longer to get the code down.

If performance does not improve enough after mani has gone then we can start looking into things like network issues...

is the empires server taking resources away from the cs server causing bad reg etc.?

dont even talk to me about KM server reg it goes to poo the moment more than 10 people are on tbh ive said this for a while ive played on 66 tic servers with 15v15 and had reg thats 20x better maybe a bottleneck some were and this said server uses mani so it aint that but the match server is fine reg wise so im guessing its either bandwidth ram cpu bottlenecks some were

ive been moaning about the reg for a while now and I don't think its mani. I know mani is shit but a lot of other servers use it and don't have major reg problems.
Its true the match server isn't as bad but it still has problems with its reg.



I'm still unsure about if it has anything to do with the Empires server but I know every time ive experienced reg problems ive had a look at the Empires server and its been full. The only reason that prompted me to do this was the randomness of the reg, sometimes its OK and sometimes its really poor. As far as I can see it seems to correlate with the state of the Empires server.


And if were getting a reputation of being "no reg KM" something needs to be done, as were loosing potential regulars.
I know ive rage quit off the KM server more than once because its been poor. Ive also seen people join, die, moan about the reg and leave.

The reg is extremely variable. I can run around 1 map and get no problems. Next map I'm aiming at swiss cheese.

Well I'm not one to complain but reg on KM is really shit at times. The more people on the worse it gets.

I know quite a few people who have stopped playing on KM because reg was shit.

I remember when KM got the server on a dedi box and it was amazing reg. Some players still had no hitboxes, but that was not down to the server.

Now, instead of the pub and match server, there is this empire server which seems to be very popular. Are there any TF2 servers still?

Maybe if you took down the Empires server for "maintenance" for a couple of days, we could see if we notice any difference.

If there is a difference with EMP shut down it will be down to network problems.

EMP server runs on its own physical core, as does the cs server.
