Sounds ill to me...Well i have a mini jack to 2 phono cable from my comp to a pair of powered roland monitor speakers.. And if i turn the master volume up above the second bar ( in windows ) i can clearly hear a hissing sound.. just static .. from the speakers while they aren't being used..
When i plug them into the digital out using one coax cbl i get much better sound quality (the master volume is redundent in this mode) and i can turn the WAVE and speakers up to full (loud enough to fill 2 of my houses) and only just hear a wisper of static which is maybe from my stereo (ok so im not totally energy conservative).

I checked that link out hubby and downloaded and installed the driver but when i restarted i get this message every time..
I checked on dll.com for the missing file but it said that it wasn't there for me to download. :/
