The video below is a recreation of the Omaha beach D-Day landings. It was filmed by 3 men for Timewatch on BBC2 on Sunday. Pretty amazing what can be put together today in usch a short space of time with these new fangled 'puters.

That was quite cool.
I bet that the timewatch version was quicker, cheaper and easier than the ryan private saving film.

If you can run CSS on your computer then you can do something like this as well. Although, I bet they used Shake for the compositing which is only available on Mac platform.
