Um I noticed this evening that we have various new maps on the main CSS server. The download is now very slow - I'm guessing cos our server capacity/bandwidth is being used by the TF2 servers?

Anyways I was wondering if you could do us a map pack please admins?

Need more "verys" in order to describe how slow.

A little hint when map download is slow:

- cancel the download

- alt tab to windows

- go to http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps

- type the name of the map in the search box and download it

- unpack and istall the map

- alt tab to CSS an reconnect

It's bit more work, but it takes only a quarter of the time.

I thought you two would know better.

Yeah sorry guys this is my fault.

Took me ages on sunday to get all the maps together and up on 2 servers. No idea why the download is slow, i will sort it out.

just spoken to server hosts, they are looking into why its slow and should sort it out soon.
So maps should come down quicker than going to FPS downloading and installing in the next hour or so.

looks like what ever fix they were supposed to do, they didnt.

getting a grand total of 15kbs from it

if it does not speed up soon, i'll switch back to valve downloads/uploads which will probably be faster

OK this is still ongoing, i have been in touch with them every other day and they have finally banned someone on the network that was using all of the bandwidth.

The downloads should be quicker, please post if not and i will move us to a new server.

we have now put in a request for a server transfer - this should hopefully resolve the speed issues for good.
