i was asking the guys earlier 4 help, i reformated my PC yeaterday and to day i cant run steam. it will only update so far and stop. unable to play cs and its recking my head

Did you install it from the cd and then download the updates? If so is it possible to download the latest version from the website and then uninstall the version on your pc and install the downloaded one. Thus eliminating the need for the latest update?

Try deleting your client registry blob, its in your steam folder. Then log on again.
