Computer won't boot up

i had to restart my pc so i shut it down propperly and then booted it back up but i forgot to take out my memory card and after it got past the page with the options for ESC F1 and F10 for (recovery options and boot modes) it went black and gave me a screen with letters dotted around the screen.

This happend before when i left the card plugged in after i restarted my pc and i just turned it off and took the card out and then turned it back in and it worked fine.

I did this but this time it just keeps coming up with the same black screen and a jumble of letters.

Until this incodent it was working fine so i don't think it has anything to do with the new ram but i took the chips out and put them back in the original places and used both sets but nothing happend.

What a great time for this to happen.. Deadlines on tuesday.

I took all the ram chips out again and put them back in.. Then shook my fist at the pc and shouted and it had come back to life.

Any suggestions on how this happend in the first place and what to do to prepare for this happening again?

Tanks.

by memory card do you mean flash drive?

maybe your computer attempted to boot from the flash drive...

sounds weird imo..

Yeah it was a flash drive and i think that is exactly what it tried to do.

And i don't think it could have been a virus because i formatted the card before taking the pictures that were on it when it was plugged into the pc.

Can i make a disc that puts my pc back to the way it was before i last installed something incase this happens again.. or a disc that i can boot windows from it it wont load from a drive?
