i recently bought a new rig but it wont work?

items =

- Intel Core 2 DUO E6400 "LGA775 Allendale" 2.13GHz (1066FS -
Retail
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX (2x1G
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Hiper 580WATT PSU
case and HDD

i connected everything made sure everything is connected to the right place but when i turn on the computer nothing boots up. The BIOS screen doesnt even appear, it just says "No signal". I thought it was the PSU because it started rebooting itself a about 10 seconds after the "no signal" screen had appeared, so i tested it with my other 500WATT PSU but the same thing happened. The computer didnt boot up/
I know the it's probably not the RAM coz i checked that it was connected properly and the CPU i dont know about, but i'm certian that i put the CPU in properly. It's probs not the HDD because the computer would still boot up and say "no hard disk was found" or some shit.
I have no idea what is wrong and the only conclusion i can come to is that the motherboard is faulty.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

1. do your processor/case fan's spin?
2. any lights on the motherboard, do they light up?
3. does the computer give a post beep?
4. you did'nt mention a graphics card you do have one? if you don't...give up now computers are not for you
5. make sure your monitor cable is connected properly/try another cable
6. send me all of your parts and ill dispose of them carefully

so, the CPU fan spins, which means the board has power, but theres no beep, so its not getting past the POST.

Working through...

- wrong voltages set

- dead motherboard

OR

- no PC Speaker

now, if you have no PC speaker, then you may well be past POST but because your to cheep to have a PC speaker to tell you, you dont know about it.

so that could mean...

- bad graphics card

- bad monitor

OR

- your computer is working?

your machine would get stuck at a "insert boot disk" or some gay message - as your hard drive does not have a MBR......

ok, i tested the beeping thing with the speakers.. no beep.
if i'm not mistake 580WATT/500WATT psu is enough to supplement a x1950 pro 2 sticks of corsair RAM and the other bits.

This is what i've done so far to check if its the other components fault.

1. I replaced the x1950pro with my shitty x600 to see if the graphics card was being a hoe... booted up the comp still no signal.
2. I've done the beeping thing with and without speakers.
3. Switched PSU still no signal

The strange thing is, when i have all compenents in the motherboard i hear these sounds.. they sound like low tone beeps but the screen says no signal. If its making those sounds does it mean its getting past post?

computer doesnt get stuck at insert boot gay disk message thingy. The computer screen doesnt even show anything. It hasnt shown anything since i fixed it up and tried all these ways to make it work. Everytime i see a black screen....
