Mobiles & Website

With the new technology in mobiles, while I was on holiday and while I am offline I can still access the website via my mobile. I can access the forum and the different sections listed to the public in the list on the left of the website on the homepage.

What I can't do however is enter my user name and password to enter the member/admin sections of the website.

Now I'm not sure if this is something with my mobile or if its something with the website not allowing me to do it, but I thought it may be something that could be looked into

Mobile phones? I still dial 0 and ask for the operator to plug my phone line into the corresponding switchboard plug.

I take it you're using a 3G phone. Well i used mine this way to get on the net and check emails but some stuff was restricted by my service, Vodafone. These forums gave me problems and other sites where i had to sign in.. I did get a message telling me that i can unlock the restrictions by paying vodafone a £ using a credit card to prove my age and then they would re emburse me £2 off my next bill.

So maybe you need to talk to your network provider?

im not gonna code for mobile phones in the UK atm.. most UK mobiles stiull use the wap, which is shite since it came out.. tbh, all /most of our users are PC based hi spec users so y should we down spec

in the futurte when wi-fi is common then the code will have a switch one for PC one for lower res.. untill then i suggest using a interweb cafe

an idea of the cause:

the login box needs javascript to work, where as the rest of the site is css & html.

you can view all the public stuff without javascript on.

look at your mobile browser settings to enable/disable javascript.

or.. it may not support javascript at all...

ideas ideas ideas

ps: get a laptop
