Now another fucking stupid problem

Right, im playing css and computer frezzes up and just crashes, no warning, digi thermometer thingy says im hitting temps up to 130f, but my onboard thingy says im hitting 90f, which is no problems. I dont get it?????? onboard Abit uguru wud be more accrate than a stupid thing stuck in my heatstink.

At first i just thought it was my digi thermometer thingy fucking up, didnt pay any attention when it was reading temps of 130f + and Uguru was saying it was at 90F?????????????? But something cant be rite as when i play css the temp shoots up and it crashes.

I dont expect any replys as i doubt if anyone else has got a clue.

Yes ive topped the water up and cleaned out the rad, pumps working fine, water is circulating. Only thing i can think off is, what that heatsink paste shit you put on it?? does it go off or stale? cud it be worth getting some more and redoing it?

I dont know alot about water cooling Pugs but I'll try to give some help

The paste is known as "Thermal paste" and it can go bad after a while, not a particually common thing to happen though unless the cpu is o/c'd and getting higher than usual temps internally.

I would be tempted to strip the comp down and have a good cleanout and redo the seating of the heatsink thingy for your water cooling on the cpu with fresh paste.

Other than that, I'm not sure what else to do.

what cooling have you got atm

just water on your CPU?

if thats the only thing youve got, then you will overheat fast....

ALL things in a computer make heat, so you need to shift it throughout your box.

big case fans F T W

Try installing Everest home edition, right after a crash when it gets to windows, start everest and go to the sensors section. Search for the highest temp, then make sure you cool that properly. Myself I guess it's the graphics card which isn't properly cooled, had that a lot. Is it overclocked, and does it have custom cooling?

Hope this helps, I attached an image as where to find the sensors. Everest can be downloaded at oldversion.com, http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=everesthome.

Frog, no its not just water sitting on cpu, its got a pump that pumps it around and through a radiator with big fan on it, plus 3 case fans aswell.

GFX card is getting on for a year old now, not overclocked, standard fan on it tho.

100% sure that its my cpu thats getting hot tho, i'll give that everest thingy ago and see what it says.

cheers

Right, if i manage to leave it, get task manager up, quit outta css that way, get back to windows, i get this.

VPU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands??????????????????

And i'll take this point to say

I know after over a year or so that most of you are sick and tired of helping me, i know jack fucking shit about computers, at the start i wud get help, now you dont bother, tbh, i dont blame you. No, i have not done this myself, it was running fine, then it just decided to kill itself, fuck it, fuck css, i hardly bother with it anyway coz its just one problem after another. This dont happen with anything else either, i tried BFpoo, only other online game that ive got installed, no problems. CCS, Steam, Valve = suck my f**king c**k and i'll never go there again

No disrespect to all of you ppl who have helped me out in the past, i dont expect you to jump to my guns.

Been over a week since i last played it and fancied a wizz, cant even go there, bad, bad steam.

ATI FTL, Gfx card or driver problem i think.

You know when you first install windows on a fresh hard drive, you not yet installed the gfx card drivers, you connect to internet, open a folder etc, scroll up and down you get that laggy thingy? thats what ive got now after css has crashed and ive gone back to windows

Game fucks me of and make me soooooo angry

But does everest say it's too hot, or is it just some error? In case of an error use a driver cleaner and download the latest drivers for your graphics card. If it's overheating get a custom cooling from Zalman or something alike.

everest said it was round about the 99f mark. Which i think is acceptable.

I think it mite be my gfx cooling, when i cleaned out the fan and heatsink on it, i shud of redone the thermal paste on it, not got none, get some 2moro. Dloaded the latest drivers, no luck, rolled back drivers, no luck.

If everest says it's 90F then it can't be the paste, cause the sensors is in the GPU itself, not in the cooler. So if the temp is acceptable, why do anything about the cooler? I assume you mean the GPU temp, not the CPU temp.
