hey guys i just reinstalled css and while everything is working fine some of my models (player boxs barrel) are really reflective

it wasn't like that when i first installed it(when i was messing around with frog on dust and compount) the next time i loaded it with my new autoexec.cfg it went shiny and no amount deleting and reinstalling could fix it. i even updated my video card driver. nothing could fix it.




can you guys help? if there a cvar that will turn off reflectivity?

just had a quick look at your config, there are cvars used that can cause this kind of stuff...

i suggest you take the tweaks out and try and find what one that did it... (remember to revert the command you took out to the original value aswel as gfx/client settings are stored in .cfg's AND the registry)

yeah but that doesn't seem to work. i took out the autoexec.cfg and all the other files in cfg and ran it and it still was uber shiny.

and its not as cool as you guys would think it is, it makes the player really hard to see

"mat_bumpmap 1" turns bump mapping back on!

Try it with "mat_bumpmap 0" - it's funky.
