When I play on KM server the hit reg does not seem to work, Ive had this prob for ages but its just getting me angry now. And also getting an aiming prob were the gun fires nowhere near where Im aiming.

Earlier today me an Alex were playing on dust 2 against two bots, not a problem my gun aims where I point it when against bots and the bullets register.

When there are more than a few people on I seem to aim at heads and when it actually goes where im pointing even tho I see the sparks fly off them they recieve no damage. Had this earlier when shooting alex in the head at close range (10ft tops) in a vent with an AK, it took 8 direct headshots to kill him, it was like the server only took notice of my last shot.

Is this a problem with my comp or the software for CSS? I just cant play a game if I feel its not responding to my inputs. To be honest people say BF had very bad hit reg but I dont have any problem aiming in that. CSS is getting frustrating and Im getting bored of uninstalling it in temper all the time.

for now all i can suggest is sitting tight and not playing it for a while until someone with more technical knowledge can help.

I am very sure many others aswell as myself would hate to see you leave the clan/not play css anymore due to it fucking you about.

have you tried all of frogs help hints to help you get the most out of your game and pc? a helpful start may be to post your config file for frog to look over, other than that i can think what else to do

ive had problems with it, but tonight, its been problem free, took me a few hours to get used to a proper mouse again tho.

It happens all the time to everyone if you ask me, ive unloaded on ppl and ppl have unloaded on me and no damage has been done, fucking hell, other nite i see to ppl unload on each other at close range, 30 bullets, and not a single bullet hit, wtf, thats a first.

Anyway, dont ask me as i dont know

Second that, after typing this and going back on the server i was getting kicked every round. Says something i think, shud of kept my mouth shut

Instead of uninstalling css i mite just not bother paying the internet bill, that way i wont have any problems with css in the future

Dont worry Si you didnt come across as patronising so dont worry bout it, think I posted my config once before an there was no probs with it, its still exactly the same.

Ive tried pretty much everything to sort it out, but it just dont wanna know. If anything tinkering with it just makes it worse and steam is causing a lot of system instability on my comp, had my first blue screen in over 4 months today, reason: "steam.exe has executed an invadid command. beginning physical memory dump" lol wtf?

Not the first time my comps taken a dump during CSS.

I've had hitreg problems on the Op2 server.

I manage to consistantly blow off people's left arms when the crosshair is covering their head.

I made the crosshair smaller and now I manage to shoot both left and right arms when aiming at head height.

I occaisionally get the 5 foot, whole magazine, AK spray to totally miss too. I'm blaming steam/valve/countershite hitboxes.

Unfortunately CS has become addictive and no matter how often I say I'm not playing any more I always end up back on within a day or two.

sparks and stuff are all client-side. this means, you will see that stuff even if you dont hit the person.

this is the same with blood, you may hit them on your own computer, but by the time your data gets to the server youve missed.

notice the bold, you need to do speed checks on your line.

and, if your connection is anything like how ****'ed my as mine, then at peek times you wont be able to hit ****.

try playing off-peek (3am... / weekdays)

the fact you can hit bots but not people is strange to me, as the hit reg is processed the same way by the server.

when you hit someone the server does not "check" with the person you are shooting, it knows where they are, and it knows where you are shooting - so it makes the match in an instant - the only thing that can slow this down is how fast you can send your "im shooting" data to the server.

as ive said before (yes i know ive gone in a big circle) check your connection, and close ALL software you dont need - then theres no chance something else isnt downloading/uploading.

also, remember, other computers on your LAN will effect your gameplay just as much, if not MORE than if your own computer were downloading/uploading.

I think ur right about our net connection Froggy, it has been very hit an miss with everything lately.

Good news is we are changing isp soon cause onetel wouldnt give us our 8meg adsl max, funnily enough the day I had a go at them for not upgrading us our connection started playing up really badly.

Well Ill give css a break until weve got a better connection which shouldnt be to long now.
