my computer is being gay, its started to decide im not allowed to save word docs as i don thave enough disk space, either its lying and being stupid or the documents is secretly larger then 70gig which i sincerely doubt.

my pc is also starting to take an eternity to boot up, it only allows you to start to try and apen a programme after about 30 seconds to minuite of it logging you on, even then it takes a long time open it up.

could it be be my hard drive getting old and cranky? the HDD light on the front is almost constantly red although it seems to be off right now, when running a few programmes it is normally always on. you can also definately hear it spinning when you open up something.

Start with a decent defrag.. then see if that helps.

Im a bit of a n00b at this but try testing your RAM that could be it?

yeah ill give it ago, ill have to find that memtest boot disk i made ages ago.
