Of making a win xp x64 machine spoof it's OS so I can get it back on the net? It's being blocked by a cisco router which makes CSS somewhat difficult.. (bloody Uni network)

CSS is probably blocked by an internal firewall. or they have just removed UDP alltogether.

No CSS is allowed internally and to the net, you can even host a server.. It's the x64 which they're blocking because they don't know enough about it.. so I need to find out what's giving it away and change it.

get a good firewall that wont let them probe you.
if your ports are closed, there is less chance they can find out your OS.

I've got a forceware nvidia firewall on the mother board, normally set to "high" but i'll have a poke around..

Have now fixed it, my ethernet card was forcing full duplex 100mb (like home) and the uni network isn't..
