css crashed and froze, when i tried to 'retry' nothing worked.. no servers were coming up in my list so i closed steam and restarted.. connected to a sever but then it stops and i get these 2 messages..
Anyone know what is going on?

Delete your CSS dir (apart from your maps folder if you have any customs) and it should re-build the game.
I would guess it could not load a DLL. What OS is this on?

Interesting post, I get the second of those two messages on an irregular basis. FYI XP Serv Pack 2.

I tried to run hl and it crashed on that too.. Didn't even finish loading the game.
I uninstalled hl and cs and re downloaded and installed them but i just get the same message.
So i just re installed steam and everything is working normally.
Got any idea what caused it?

Steam sometimes has a problem registering .dll files correctly - to fix it you have to move all the dll files into the same dir as the exe.
Thats what i guess caused the error... imo, the main error is a bit vague.
