ok i'm gonna go nuts now, i dunno whats happened and its pissing me off...

I just formatted my D: drive and i restarted my computer and everything was fine and dandy.
HOWEVER
my D: drive has dissapeared from "My computer"!!!!!
and its not being detected by anything!!!

It's not being detected by the BIOS at all, at all?

Edited to try and make more sense.

sorry commanche, i'm just really... how to say... *bleh* atm.

It is being detected by the bios, but defragging programs cant detect them and its not showing up on "my computer" either. The only drives that are showing up is the C: (Drive which OS is located on) and E: (Partition)

Have you gone into drive management and had a look to see if it's in there? It may be that the drive has turned itself off because you formatted it as a different drive than the last time. Dynamic drive or something and it needs to be woken up.

right click "my Computer" > manage > storage > disk management

It should list all your drives and tell you if one is deactivated.

They again if I were you I'd take all that with a huge pinch of salt as I have a low success rate as far as computer correction is concerned.

unallocated means u have no partition on it at all...just right clik and create new active partition

You right click that partition and go to format.

I had it b4 when i bought a new 250gig HDD and i was liek WTF 20gig LEFT!! But i realised i only partitioned half
