I'm thinking of taking an open university course in Social Science - has anyone got any experience of the OU before I commit my time and husbands money.

I was thinking of doing an OU course.

It has a HUGE number of people doing courses and there are never any stories about shite teaching.

Although I would like to question your degree subject...

Just make sure you get the NUS card!!!

My bro did Law at OU.

got his degreee then did his bar exams at oxford.

I think its a good system if you got the time.

so its not so much hubbys money (8800gtx etc )

but more if hubbys got the time to do all the chores while you work on it!!.

yaya get loads of NUS wifey, coz its free even if u lose it . and send me one so i can change the photo on it hehe!

im doing course w100 witch is rules,rights and justice intro as my gcses wernt upto scratch thats what i got to d othey say my regional centre is in east grinstead i asume it will be the same 4 u wife.

they wanted me to fork out £10 for my NUS card

ive heard many good things about the OU, i dont think you'll regret it if you do ur homework

The NUS have split the card into a basic (no discount) version and the NUS Extra card which you pay £10 for to get discount. It's the NUS trying to actually break even for once. In reality the people in the shops don't know this so you still get the discount.

As predicted by our students union this whole scheme has failed spectacularly.
