It cant be the isp, even tho they are tossers. Rusky doesnt have the same judder problem that I keep getting.

I played GTA san andreas the other day (offline) and it ran ok for a while then it started running in fits and starts, like it kept going from 100-1000 fps even with the frame limiter set to 60. Same thing happens with Call of duty 2. Im wondering if its the same thing thats affecting my online games.

So far to correct the prob, Ive formatted my comp, reinstalled drivers, disabled the auto overclocking in bios, checked for corrupt drivers, replaced new drivers with old ones, uninstalled my vid cards then reinstalled them. The only thing that cures the judderyness is for me to restart my comp, then it runs fine for about 20mins and then starts juddering again. While it judders my FPS stay stable according to Fraps in BF and net graph in css so its like my screen is failing to display fast enough.

Im at the point where Im going to be taking a vid card out to see if that helps. Im now missing service pack 2 for xp pro, dunno if that would cause my comp to behave strangely, if its not that then I'll prolly sell my comp and buy a new car.

Im suprised you not tried just the one card on its own already? wud of been something i wud of done, maybe there was a defect in one of the cards. Sounds similer to what was happening to mine, css wud just freze up for me, finaly get back to windows and it wud all run slow, like no drivers installed, only a restart wud sort it, until the next time i played a game. Turned out to be me gpx card over heating. sorted now

frog will tell you the same thing happened to me when i got my new computer, your running top of the range hardware on an old OS, dude. Its not gonan work perfectly like that.

Thanks chaps, got a proper copy of windows to install tomorrow with sp2. Hopefully that'll sort it.

I thought it was my gpx cards getting hot but they are fine, an the monitor is also fine. So must be sp2 being missing thats fudged it.

Im still pretty much finished with css though, just me being picky but why play an old buggy game when theres so many new buggy games out there.
