Im having problems with viewing demo's in steam, Ive never actually managed to get one working

In my steam dir I have a file named "demos" and I place demo files here, I open steam go into css and on the main screen where you have your options I open console and type, "playdemo *demoname*" and then I get this:

] playdemo noobkiller
CDemoFile::Open: couldn't open file noobkiller.dem for reading.

Anyone know why this is?

EDIT : LOL nevermind got it working, as Hubs suggested I shouldn't have been putting demo's in the demo folder, instead they should go in the cstrike folder instead.

yea......

ur not meant to put them into a demo folder


ur meant to leave them in ur "c-strike" folder

C: Program, Files,Valve,Steam,SteamApps,*****,counter-strike source,cstrike

thats the path u shud have wen u reach the correct place... if u have anything after cstrike then uve gone to far

And when watching a demo you can press CTRL+SHIFT+F2 to get the demo playback window. Then you can fast forward or make slowmotion with the jog shuttle button.
