No surprise at all tbh. When we got our dedi box the CSS server was running at 66 tick in the beginning iirc and reg was much better with lots of players on imo. As soon as it was switched to 100 tick i've noticed the difference. Reg got worse with more than 20 players on. That was long before we had the empires server.

Shutting down the Empires server sounds like a good idea considering that right now the CSS server is completely empty whereas Empires is full to the brim!

Oh wait, while i was writing this 3 ppl have joined CSS.

how many [KM] members were on the empires server? cos there are 22 players on there now and not one clan member...

I've been there, but if nobody else likes it shut it down. meh...
I'm just trying to say that reg wasn't perfect before the Empires server so I doubt that it will solve the issue.

It won't solve it. The reg is dodgy everywhere.

Well as i said...................................

the EMP server is on its own core. That means the CSS server has 100% usage of its core (unless theres a match going on).

it may be network related, but the chances are slim as we have a dedicated box sitting in a datacenter.

Before in the "good reg" days the server used to run at a lower tick. Lower tick means less strain...
for the server AND the clients/players.

Many people have problems keeping up with a 100 tick server (you need to average 80/100fps), which is why originally I didn't set it as 100 (that and the fact doors screw up).

People moaned for 100tick.......

If you want I will drop it back down to 75 again.

There is a way to fix the doors...

Something Physics or other in the server settings...

Anywho...

Could be worth a try at 66 or 75 just to see but I don't think it'd make all that big a difference.

yeah there's a fix console cmd to help with doors on 100tick servers.

tweaking the game timer can fix the doors...
but it also fucks physics up at the same time.

The only way to fix the doors is to edit the door entity settings/values either in the BSP server side or in the server's memory.

After playing at 75 tick for a while now, I still feel the reg is poor. I think its time to explore other ideas to fix this problem.
