Dont know how I managed it but, well look for yourselves. Done this on KM server 10mins ago, just dont know how.

What changed your screen res in game?.. thats easily done, or it could be that you switched to desktop and back, that can fuck up if the game is loading.

It was weird, all I did was change my crosshair scale and when I turned the console off all the hud icons went all titchy, and the chat messages were so small I had to just about stick my nose to the screen to read them.

When I went back into the game after showing the screens to froggy it was all back to normal, shame really as I quite liked the titchy ammo and armour readouts, gave the screen a nice uncluttered look.

you can do that. 4got the code, too wasted on vodka n Coke (not in the same glass ) will find out later

i dont think you can change the hud icon size without a game file edit

if there is a cvar though, post it as ive not seen it

I went into video options and selected widescreen 16/9 840xsummit by accident, applyed it then changed it back to standard width 1600x1200 and it makes the icons and chat go small. It also make you feel like youve got tunnel vision, oh and seems to crop the top an bottom of the screen a bit.

W00000T, I found a real live bug.

Does it have the same effect for other people though, if it does an its not just my comp having a laugh then I'll submit it to valve.

i personally dont know how to change it but if i had a smaller hud i would use it to my advantage because the hud gets in my way sometimes which is why you keep on managing to kill me flaxxy

This is how you do it mrdh

Just press 'esc' in game then click the video tab in 'options' Just be carefull you dont make ur screen go to a res that puts the options off the edge of the screen.
