Crossfire - Destroy the Evidence
The sinister worldwide terrorist organisation Black Opps Nihilist Group
(or BONG for short) believed to be responsible for such atrocities as
the "Pudding-Cake-Masacre" and the "Night Of The Sly Mongeese" are known
to have a weapons and monetary cache somewhere in the industrial complex.
The terrorists have to avoid arrest, prosecution and a probable one way
ticket to Guantanamurder Bay Detention Camp by destroying the weapons cache,
or they can a cause a complex-wide power shutdown by blowing up the master
control room to cover their escape.
The CT's -obviously- have to smite them mightily to stop them

Soon, Valve will be releasing the first in a series of updates to Counter-Strike: Source which will be focused on moving the core Counter-Strike gameplay forward.
The first update will include an updated version of the map Train, which will feature an HDR lighting pass, some minor layout changes, and a number of small bugfixes.
The second facet of this release will be a completely reworked radar system. There will be a significant change to the aesthetics of the radar, but there are also some fairly significant gameplay ramifications to the new system. One example: when you look directly at an enemy for a long enough time for their name to appear on your screen, everyone on your team will be able to see that enemy in the radar. Valve are planning on releasing this first update in about two weeks.

and i quote:
"Counter-Strike: Source has more HDR-enabled versions of maps on the way, along with some enhancements to the game itself."
i think they are probably talking about the source engine update, currently in beta
here is a rundown of changes so far in the beta:
Source Engine
* Bloom (HDR level 1) supported on DX8 cards (previously, dx9-only)
SourceTV
* added SourceTV port and delay time to "status" output if SourceTV is active.
* fixed SourceTV relays unabled to connect to "sv_lan 1" servers.
* fixed SourceTV reporting correct password restrictions.
* fixed SourceTV bots joining game even if command line specified "-nohltv".
* added new command "net_status" that shows more detailed information about total and average packet loss, latency, packets/sec and bandwidth.
* added convar "tv_autoretry 1" so relay proxies try to reconnect after connection crashed/timed out.
* added convar "tv_timeout" to specify connection timeout limit in seconds.
* fixed disappearing weapons in SourceTV.
* fixed spectator chat on relay proxies.
* improved spectator client dispatching, faster and better balanced.
* fixed SourceTV crash during changelevel.
* fixed command tv_record chrashing relay proxies.
* reduced SourceTV CPU demand.
or i wonder if they have done something else, like:
the sheild?
quickswitch fix?
more player models?
time will tell... sooner or later, .. time will tell. |
